ORIGINAL: gaRCfield -(you) ... claim these motors are all identical - YOU CAN NOT PROVE THIS BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT. How do you know the copper windings are the same exact copper, wound with the same tension, the same pattern,? How do you know they all have the exact same bearings, with the exact same lubricant, with roller balls of the exact same material? How do you know these all went through the same quality checks? How do you know the strand counts are the same in the wires?
Joe: Let me point this out: Indeed,
<span style="font-size: small"> I <u>CAN</u>prove they are ALL totally identical motors ....</span>
Formal objective, very careful and very thoroughscientific testing of: Hacker, Hyperion-Z, Foxy, Gens Ace, & Turnigy SK3 motors
in the sizes from 1709 stator, to 3020 stator, to 4025 stator (-and I will soon test 5025 motors -i.e. A60-size ones)
<span style="font-size: small">has shown that they are ALL totally identical absolutely the EXACT SAME motors....
</span>
<span style="font-size: small"> -On the Motor Thrust Test stand,Hacker, Hyperion-Z, Foxy, Gens Ace, & Turnigy SK3 motors <u>
<span style="font-size: medium">ALL</span></u> give absolutely indistinguishable readings for current, watts, RPM, Thrust -for 7 given props which I have tested for allmotors ... </span><span style="font-size: x-small">(see
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11463161/tm.htm for details of test stand )</span>
Also -they all have EXACTLY the same bearings,exactly the same windings, exactly the same magnets, -in many cases the same identicalX-mount and prop apaptors
<span style="font-size: small">-INSIDE, ALL THESE MOTORS ARE COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY IDENTICAL</span>, Joe
I will be publishing all these results on RCUsoon, just as soon as I can write them up, do appropriate graphs etc ..
Also see:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=11465548 which shows the Hacker A30-12 L, 1000Kv is IDENTICAL to the Turnigy SK3 3542, 1000Kv motor
<span style="font-size: small"> -I have manymany, more resultsjust like this, I have done 5 runs in each motor, and they both give EXACTLY the same readings for
everything .. absolutely
everything ...
</span> I am afraid the conclusion is inescapable:
<span style="font-size: medium">That underneath the outer shell, the Hacker, Hyperion-Z, Foxy, Gens Ace, & Turnigy SK3 motors are <u>ALL TOTALLY IDENTICAL EXACTLY THE SAME MOTOR
</u>
