Yes as we all know after many years of R/C experience never use a Carb Cleaner on anything plastic some Brake Cleaners are also questionable. They have to be  Non Chlorinated and even then some have Toluene which can harm some plastics.   Nitro Cleaners are the best because they are Methanol Alcohol based for safety unless you know.  I like to use either Nitro Cleaners or Denatured Alcohol on my stuff.  Electric Motor Cleaners are the safest on anything R/C but dry to quick for scrubbing off burnt on oils.
