RE: Removing thread lock
I'm with ejc34710, just use heat. If it's a screw I'm concerned enough to safe just hit it with some heat, heat gun, lighter, butane etc and wipe if off. If it's a screw hole I just use my soldering iron. Stick it in the hole for a bit, heat it up and follow that up with a q-tip. Works like a charm, and the q-tip completely wicks away all the old thread lock so it's like new...no muss...no fuss.
