Default RE: GP Waco?

In an earlier post a fella said that he had a hard time fitting the stabs on the fuse due to being misaligned. When I first put them on they were very tight and slightly but not much off. I removed them and fliped them over and they are perfect! No gaps and the alignment is spot on. I was also surprised to see the alignment of the wing halves and the wing center. Very nice fit.

After much concideration about the prehnged surfaces I elected to use them. I tugged and pulled on them and they seem to be instaled well. Ibought Robart 1/8th in hinge points and was going to change them all out but decided not to. I am going to use a Sullivan tail wheel and hinge points to mount the rudder though. I am using Hitec 5645's all the way around and a 5485 on the throttle. AR8000 rec so I do not have to use any Y's. Also useing 2 rec batteries and going with NiMh 2450Mah AAcell batteries. NiMh 1500Mah AA cell on the ignition. DLE35RA fit very nicly in the cowl! I did have to use 1/4" spacers behind the stand offs and I also hade touse a patern for the holes through the firewall. The fuel tank had to be moved slighly to the rear becauseof the rear carb and I drilled the firewallwhere the fuel lines come out.I modified the tips on a 20-6 prop and painted it black. I will paint the tips Cub yellow so it will look good when said and done.
