RE: GP Waco?
Mine's been up 3 times now, did awesome. You guys were right, the DLE 20 is the perfect engine for this plane and i didnt have to chop up the cowl. I think I flew with about 1/3rd throttle most of the time. By the way, the DLE 20 sounds awesome, nice popping sound at 1/4 throttle sounds scale. I might post a picture later of my cowl because it blows away the dle30 setup where it has to be chopped up. Thanks so much for advice on the dle20. If you put one in, make sure you turn the carb 180 degrees so you can adjust the carb from the bottom of the plane or else it would be really hard to do without taking off the whole cowl, on the bottom you just make one tiny hole for a thin screwdriver and look through the front of the cowl. The plane came in great for landing all three flights so far and does a nice knife edge. I put 3 batteries in it, two for receiver and one for electronic ignition of course. There are three battery gauges in the main cockpit (rear) stacked on each other so all u see is the lights. All three switches are in there too. One in the back by the pilot's back and two (both rec) by the rear of the pilot. Turning the switches to the pilot's left is on, so i remember "left on" as if the battery is left on.
Did you all loc-tite your cowl screws or what? I don't want them to be hard to get off but dont want them vibrating loose either.
