Default RE: **Seagull Nemesis** The need for speed build thread!!

ORIGINAL: stuntflyr

I am new to gassers on R/C models but used to race Biplanes at Reno so we tuned the exhausts for a certain length for an rpm goal. That big, long prop with shallow pitch doesn't seem like it's much for speed, is this an acro airplane more than a speed/racing model? What are most guys looking for with this model? The long gear says acro to me.
Looks like a good flyer by that video, good looking model but not very scale to Nemesis (the horizontal is huge, probably why it flies so well).
Chris...

Chris,
I here ya on the stab, it's huge, almost 33". That's crazy big for a 80" ws, but it should track real well. The big stab is one of the reasons I decided to go with the twin...

I'm setting mine up for speed, but I am sure she will do areos just fine.. I breaking in mine with a 22x12, then it's getting the APC AT6 racing prop, what a neat looking prop.. Pics don't do it justice at all, it's pretty dang crazy and will no doubt slice fingers right off.. Here are some pics, enjoy..
