My Brother and I have been using the Futaba wireless system since it first came out. We feel it is much safer than the cord. With the cord you or your student can trip on it, step on it, etc. causing all kinds of problems. I still use the cord when my brother is using the wireless and it seems cumbersome. If you have not tried it do not knock it.
