By chance I opened the attached article. I could barely read it but saw some discussion about Charley Danley who won Expert that year. He was a fine builder and even better flier from Houston. I got to meet him in 1980 when I moved to Houston. Charley had won Sportsman, Advanced and Expert Nats in back to back fashion. One fellow competitor in Houston (Allan Johncock possibly) had explained that the following year he flew incredibly well in Masters also but he felt he got cheated from scoring well and hung his wings up. A shame and a loss to Pattern
