I think he is referring to a screw mounted nylon tab that has a slot in it with an enlarged area in the slot a screw or rod "snaps" into. I use these on all wing struts and they are indeed very fast and simple to use. I usually only use them on one end. On the other end I use a 1/16 inch brazing rod that slides into a piece of nyrod in the wing or fuse. This allows the strut to float a bit if the wing flexes.
