eheh sounds like a 'nice' runway

2 more solos yesterday. Bout 1/2 tanks run through each time. 2nd one I did I nice loop with the sun hitting it and lighting it up real nice toward the later evening. Looked great. First landing, wing tip scuffed up a bit..prop took a TINY little ding on the edge. 2nd, I landed it perferctly down the middle..but bounced 3 times lol. I did a pace count and came up with 9 x 60 which comes to about 30x180 feet.(runway length)

The engine is running ok. Still not sure where I should be on rpm's cause when I go to full lean, I back it off but don't notice much decrease in rpm till I have turned it an seemingly large amount back. Still choking on takeoff for a couple seconds..but it holds the full range of rpms. LIke I said I would like to run this thing rich especially for the remainder of the year. It deserves it.

Still starting backwards! Took me 8 on/offs before it would fly forward hehe. And the first start is taking like 20 flicks. It's hard to explain to someone that doesn't understand or maybe doesn't get into things like I do. But I can 'feel' my engine and how it is working now a bit. I'm sure in time this thing will become like a member of the family ya know?
