The nose is screwed to the firewall blind nuts with screws that are accessable through a hatch in the nose, so yes, I can make it a trimotor when the twin thrill wears off.
The flaps are indeed powerful, with more than enough aileron authority preserved.
The throttles are on seperate servos and seperate channels mixed through an Airtronics RD8000. They are nearly perfectly sync'd. It sounds really sweet. The 40LA are plenty of power, your twin 46FXs must really haul.
