As stated the simulator will NOT teach you everything, but it is GREAT for practice and trying things that would crash your plane in real life if not properly done.

You'll find the money for the sim is well spent, especially when you factor in the vast library of high quality user created content. ( note there is a lot of garbage available too, from people who do not know what they are doing or do not put in the effort... )
