Have seen a number of the Aires fly, and competed against them. They fly well and were designed, I believe to accomodate either 2 or 4 stroke engines(probably more 2 stroke hehehehehe)

Have a personal believe, if you don't think the plane is good looking, regardless of the airborne attributes, most pilots won't enjoy it as much. Simply put, your feelings of the looks are really important also.

Don't know about the Phenom, but the aires has a removable canopy on the top side, which is major importante to me. Have always despised removing the belly pan to get to something that could be easily gotten to with a removable canopy.
