Please keep us updated, I have subscribed to this thread. the OV10 is my all time favourite aircraft.

I live in Australia and was a Police Pilot for many years, in planning security for the 2000 Olympics I was the Aviation Security Project Officer, I was in contact with the California Department of Forestry. We almost had a deal with them to borrow 2 OV10's as our Police Patrol aircraft. I had studied the flight manual for weeks in anticipation of an endorsement.

The idea was canned by the Australian Government who didn't want US Military planes flying over the Sydney "Friendly Skies"

We ended up using Citation Jets and Cessna Caravans painted in "gentle" colours. Did the same again in APEC 2007 (pic below of our Police Citation)

I still would have preferred the Bronco!..

If you go with counter rotating props, make sure they rotate so the top of the prop moves inwards and the bottom moves outwards..

IE viewed from the back.. the left engine rotates clockwise. This will give you the best asymmetric performance due to P-factor at slow airspeeds.
