Schweighofer Alpha Jet Project (Part 23)
The moulds are finished and have all together a weight of 209kg!
Uwe Riehm has uses these materials:
• 180m² fiber in different strengths and materials
• 20 kg Epoxy Resin for surfaces
• 130 kg Epoxy Resin for the fibre
• 70 kg Glass fiber
• 8 kg Carbon fiber
First Uwe produces a prototype which you can see at the Jetpower fair. Using this prototype we will adjust the undercarriage, cockpit, elevator and the complete former set. As you can see in the
http://www.alphajet-projekt.at/conte...ig.jpgpictures some parts are already finished – we’ll catch the timeline for the Jetpower.
Peter Glück is already working on the weapon carriers and tanks, parts which are essential to such a model. The now laminated and plastered tank is fixed at a right angle. Then the groove is milled using 6mm cutters.
After milling the control surfaces are glued with PU resin.
Then the tanks are grinded and filled.
The beams are made of white coated 26mm wood plates. The round sections are made again of Necuron. After the Jetpower Peter gets back the master models and then he can start with the molding of the support on the wings.
Next step: Pictures of all finished moulds, preparation for the Jetpower.
