I decided earlier today that I'm getting back into building after a 20+ years hiatus and the C 182 kit from TopFlight is my choice. I looked at the Toni Clark kit but it's a bit pricey for a reborn builder.
I like your approach regarding true scale or scaling it up. I dig the detail work.
