Try mounting your wheelpants with nylon bolts of the same size as the kit supplies. They will shear if stressed and your wheelpants will last a lot longer. As far as keeping them clean, all of mine vacuum up grass clippings and hold them until they can unload in my minivan. Haven't figured out a cure for that, yet.
