Motorhead540, I have two of the Magic Extra 300's and love them! The area at the front of the wing saddle is where I wound up re-enforcing my planes. I just added some long narrow pieces of plywood on both sides to strengthen the fuse sides at the start of the wing saddle where it is pretty narrow. I also re-enforced the landing gear floor with some extra plywood and some triangle stock. As far as the tail heavy goes I am running an OS 46 in one and an OS 50 in the other and all I did was to carve out the fuel tank cover and locate the battery pack (5 cell) on top of the tank and recessed part way into the cover. A 60 size engine would be a very tight fit if it fits at all and with these planes coming in at around 4.5 lbs. it would be serious overkill. These planes are more aerobatic and with the large control surfaces flying to fast can and will cause flutter. My recommendation would be to stick with a 46-50 size engine and a flatter prop for more pull and less speed. ENJOY your Magic Extra 300 I know I love mine..........
