Hey Tom, I was running same ratio with the synthetic oil 20:1. I have yet to see anyone running at higher ratio than the 20:1.
It gets a little better as you break it in and get it tuned. I just cleaned it up with a rag after each flight. It wipes right off no cleaners necessary.
