OK, I did some more testing today and found that the IBEC only used a total of 120 MAH for a seven minute run on the engine. Testing of the 2000 MAH battery under heavy load proved that the battery is in good condition and has full capacity. I changed the jumper on the IBEC and will now run the ignition at a higher voltage of 6.2 V. I started the engine on the new setting and it ran well. I am going to give the IBEC one more try before I give up on it.
