Ouch! Sorry to hear it, but it is a part of the learning process, kind of a right of passage. i crashed 3 times in my first 3 months, but knock on wood, have not crashed again in almost 3 months now.
Hang in there, it is a blast once you get the hang of it, but a real pain to get started.
25 MPH winds are chalanging for an advanced flier, take your time, pick calm days. chances are high the not flying is you don't have enough head speed. could be the fuel mixture, radio settings, engine getting too hot....
I am going to be in Minneapolis at the end of next month for a trade show. it is a long drive from minot, but i would be willing to pack a few tools in my bag and spend a day on it if you are willing to bring it.
There is a lot that can be done over the internet, lots of very cool guys who would like to see you succede. there are also a few web sites that offer a wealth of info on getting everything set up. i don't know much about other helis, but there is a web site i have been to for Raptors that might give you some very usefull background info.
