I made a solid leading edge buck to mold balsa sheet around. I use two or three thicknesses of 1/32. I put plastic around the mold. I spray the 1/32 with water with a little simple green. It gets limp almost immediately. I mold the sheets dry, wrapped with Ace bandage. then I glue them together and put them back on the mold with the bandage. One could put strips of carbon fiber between, silkspan, or whatever. Then I glue the molded sheet on the leading edge as shown above. I find that the mold does not have to be exact shape, as the sheet will expand or contract a little to fit the rib profile.when you wrap it to dry on the airplane. I fill in the back to make a D tube. very light and strong.
