I flew my Evolution 10cc gas engine powered Pheonix Spitfire again this week but now it has a separate battery for the ignition. I removed the IBEC and installed a second switch and battery for the ignition. The engine now runs great and did not miss or run rough as it did on the IBEC. The engine does have a tendency to flame out when running at idle during landing. The engine is not fully broken in as yet and some fine tunning of the low speed needle should cure the low throttle flame outs.
