Hey Chris, i have the K-100, which is at high end of recommended thrust range , so unlimited vertical, and lots of power. I also had this turbine before i got the jet , so i was not going to purchase another turbine. the down side to K-100 , is it uses alot of fuel very short flight time , so i added fuel saddle tanks, now plenty of flight time now.

the K-80 would probably be right inline on recommended thrust range , and you would get normal flight times with just the stock fuel tank, so i would think it would be solid match !

I think Oli ran a K-80 at some point on the Phoenix , so he would have some direct info for you, he might already have it posted somewhere.
