RE: Is it worth it?
Vito you'll definitely have one of the sweeter rides out there. If you run the 2.85 hp Novarossi (MK2 Medial Pro i'm guessing), forget some of the bling-bling parts and get an aftermarket clutch like a Fioroni. That much horsepower and torque eats the stock aluminum clutch shoes pretty quickly.
I'd personally get the Kanai II (my buggy, yeah i'm biased) instead of the regular Inferno if you've got that kind of cash to spend. It has all the pro parts and there's not much "improving" to be done on it. Only things i want for mine are Fioroni chassis braces, a factory hinge pin set that uses nuts instead of e-clips, and shock shaft boots from a Mugen MBX-5 (Kyosho boots tear super easily). The Fioroni diff mounts look trick. I'd stay away from aluminum suspension arms; the stockers are plastic for a reason (unsprung weight).
2-speed tranny: Won't be race legal. If you're only gonna bash, i'm sure somebody makes one. But to have a tricked out Inferno and never race it would be a shame...
