Dan, it's still being turned! Currently it lacks any electronics and while the elevation and recoil systems are present they have yet to be made functional & wired up. When I get a Clark board in this hull, then things really start to move.
I did some turret rotation work. As a result of raising the roof height I was having some binding and misalignment in the turret ring. As you can see I ended up using 3 washers to lower the ring gear so that it meshes properly. I also added a third turret ring mount at the rear... the stock Panzer III does not use this mount point but it was in the gear, so it wasn't very difficult to install.
It's not pictured in the photo but I also installed 5 sections of styene "c" channel around the inside of the hull turret opening. They both took care of the side-to-side motion of the turret and make the turret rotate MUCH more smoothly. I smeared on some white grease and the turret spins like a dream. I'll get pics up asap
