Coded, If the headrest is only cracked, I would reinforce it inside with some balsa or fiberglass. As for the receiver, with 7 channels you could have one channel for each aileron . What I did was use Y cables on a right/left basis, not a top/bottom basis so I could more easily add aileron differential.
