My most favorite Pattern Plane in the whole world. I had 3, all the same paint scheme. Still have 1 and 3. Still upset over #2. I’ve always wanted to do a slightly larger version with newer building techniques. The coolest thing about having the mains on the CG was that you could rotate onto the mains early, hit the retract switch. The front gear would go up but the mains would stay down until you just broke ground. I used to think I was so cool when I did that. Here’s me 15 or so years ago.
