I haven't installed the rear support for lifting and have been flying mine in the stock configuration now for quite some time. I notice no skew/twisting of the wings nor any ill effects so I haven't bothered to do any further changes to my mount set up. The thing flies great so I don't have much motivation to change it. The posted mods look fine and I don't see any downside in incorporating them.
