My first RC plane was a cox cessena centurian. I taught myself to fly with it. I was flying at arlington lake and the batteries ran out in the receiver. The plane went into a flat spin and crashed nearly 100 yards off shore. This was in march and it was cold. I had to strip down to my underwear and swim out and get my plane. It broke the wing in half and soaked the radio. I dried it out and never had any trouble with it. But I did stop flying over the water.

I am thinking about renewing the AMA and joining the TBirds again. I miss having someone to fly with.
