6 oz tank uses the same hardware the bigger tanks use, will pass the felt clunk. Here's a link to the bronze colored pick up. Will likely jog your memory once you've seen it. Ahicks, I've had the sintered bronze clunks corrode to the point they won't pass fuel or air. It's the only type I won't use, YMMV.

I do 3D with 2- and 4-strokes and use a plain clunk and inline filter, never have a problem. It sounds like the OP has a heat issue, or a fuel line that's too stiff.
