I have used the felt clunks and standard clunks. I have tried the "premium" aluminum stopper kits for Dubro and Sullivan tanks and have always had trouble with either the stoppers or the line getting stiff. To be fair I now use Tygon Fuel Line from McMaster Carr and that is not an issue.
For the past two seasons I have installed Rotoflow Tanks in all my planes. They have worked great. They come all assembled and even have a third nipple for a three line setup. You just have to drill out the center of the nipple. I have tried every type of 3D move I can do and have never had a fuel flow issue.
No more tank issues for me!

I have install felt clunk for SAITO 14cc 4-stroke engine and found out that carb has no enough sucking power to get fuel while at 90-100% throttle climbing up in 3D manner.
I have stagger for 2 weekends and finally went back to regular clunk.

Ahicks, I've had the sintered bronze clunks corrode to the point they won't pass fuel or air. It's the only type I won't use, YMMV.
I do 3D with 2- and 4-strokes and use a plain clunk and inline filter, never have a problem. It sounds like the OP has a heat issue, or a fuel line that's too stiff.

The methanol or nitro in glow fuel cause a chemical reaction to the bronze filter that causes corrosion, and thus limits the fuel flow.
I thought we were all talking about gas engines in this forum.
