I have a 26cc RCGF engine that I'm certainly not going to toss, but with just a few more grams weight I can bolt a DLE 30 in it's place and gain a dramatic increase in power. If the issue is weight, I can drop down to a 20cc engine with just slightly less power than the RCGF (and likely more than a 26cc Turnigy engine) with MUCH less weight than a 26? This would net an almost certain gain in power to weight ratio!
There IS a new 26cc RCGF engine that came out not too long ago. It's a beam mount (not to be confused with the older 26cc radial mount!) with the same weight and foot print of the beam mount RCGF 20. It has the weight of a 20, but swings 30 size props? Point being that even though it's a pretty neat engine, nobody beating the doors down to get one. Why would DLE even consider bringing one out to compete with it?
