Thanks to everyone who came to the NATS Tune-up. Thirty-eight pilots exceeded what we have seen at this contest for many years. I think that pattern is alive and well! I had some really good help, which made my weekend much more enjoyable. Ron Hansen did a great job as co-cd and flight line motivator. Bob Kane brought the computer and scoring system, as well as served as our on site technical trouble shooter. We had a few glitches for him to fix. Joy Murphy volunteered to help with scoring so she could learn the system for their upcoming event. Jessy Sims, who works at AMA, helped us get a few things done in Muncie in preparation for the event. Finally, the contestants were great! Everyone was at their spot for judging and the flying went on continuously. We made a profit of $750 which will be donated to the F3A team fund along with the $500 that we made last year at the district finals. If you live within a reasonable driving distance of this event, I hope that you will plan to come next year. We plan to do it again!
