I agree, that does not sound correct. What I would do if I were in your shoes is to look up where the CG is located on a Goldberg Ultimate and then set according to that info. The Goldberg and yours are pretty much twins.

I just looked it up, try setting it to 2 1/4" from the bottom wing LE at the fuse. They actually give a range from 1 7/8" to 2 7/8" at that same point. With 2 1/4" I think you would be plenty safe.
