Yeah.....this bird will be a tough one to convert. I would say if you have the extra $$$$ you should go with a brushless set up and L-poly cells. I am not the one to give advise on exactly what to use but here are a couple of links that may help.

There is another site that I would like to find for you. The site has some awesome planes and brushless systems. I had even talked to the owner on the phone. Very nice and is a L-poly beleiver. I saw some video of his planes in action....Holy Moly!!!!! They rip.....for over 45 minutes of extreme earobatics. I will keep searching until I find it and I wil get back to you.
