I take it that the rib spacing is 2+"? What is the rib spacing? If you do decide to shorten the span, keep your ailerons the same length as on the Sport. You also have the freedom to shorten the spacing of the most outer rib to the tip rib if you're uncomfortable with shortening the wing a full two ribs.
