Floats are the preferred method for Winter flying up here. Our field becomes inaccessable though. I'm not a Winter activity type anyway. Outside of my daily walks with my dog, I stay near my shop's furnace. LOL
Floats may happen. I live two blocks from Lake Michigan, and there are several smaller lakes in my area.
