Accu-Cycle Plus - Problem
Hopefully someone in here has seen this problem and can advise me as to whether it's an easy fix or... just ship it. My Accu-Cycle Plus has worked flawlessly for 2+ years, and yes... it was reasonably accurate on both Tx and Rx sides, verified by independent voltage readings. However, it has suddenly developed a problem. When turning on the unit (with no charge leads attached), it self-tests properly. But when it finishes the self-test cycle, instead of reading "Hobbico" on the display, the green "charge" lights start blinking and it shows voltage numbers on both Tx and Rx readouts. If you plug a Tx or Rx battery in and hit the charge button, the green light stops blinking as it should, but the charge voltage displayed is very low... like 9+ volts for an 8 cell Tx pack and 4+ volts for a 4 cell Rx.
I have tried cycling all the on-off, cell count, and charge amperage switches through their various postions, to no avail. Anyone have a clue as to what would cause these symptoms? I'm not afraid to take it apart if there's a chance I can clean/adjust something to cure the problem, since it is long out of warranty anyway.
Thanks in advance... Gary
