I had an idea to turn the DBC into a digtial decoder to make full use of the Benedini without having to modify your radio. I worked wiht David L the designer of the DBC to do this with tank control in mind. So turret sound , gun fire, etc are all tailored to tanks. The new BARC4 is the lastest version, and is as much a Benedini encoder as it is anything else. The BARC 4 gives you access to more sound address for direct control of the Benedini for turret sounds, cannon, MG, light switches etc. voices etc.

Without a decoder you are limited to what you can do with the TBS, but at a minimum it will supply great engine sounds and a couple of other sounds that you can play using a spare RC channel.

I will have an offical launch of the BARC4 and showcase it on my Cromwell build when it is finished.

My sales pitch has always been that if you want the best sound then the combination of the Benedini and the BARC line is the most cost effective solution to Tamiya compatible battle tanks
