In anticipation of the HL M1A2 I am already researching upgrades lol. I already know the stock sound is not going to cut it for me and I want to use the Benedini since it has the most realistic sound I heard. I have not been able to identify what main controller...Clark TK?? Or other I will use, but either way, I cannot find anything on how to install it. Any help?

YHR would be the best person to help you out with the Benedini since he is the North American distributor. I think he has some tutorial in his website, http://battlearmorrc.weebly.com including interfacing it with a Clark board if you wish to go that route.

Benedini TBS Mini is "transparent" for receiver signal so You can use any controler - Im using for example Elmod . At least two receiver channels are needed: one for "throttle" and one for sound control.

Yep, as stated above, it can be used with most we have available. It's not armor specific, I believe it's widest use is in AC for MG lighting and sound effects as well as engine noise and even wheel squeak on touchdown (how cool is that?).
Dan's the man to talk to, he worked it out between the designers so the original DBC2 used theTBS, then he blew open the door.

I have instructions on my website for hooking up a Benedini to a Clark. The Benedini will work with any radio that has standard RC signals.
To unlock the full potential of the Benedini you will need an encoder. Benedini includes instructions on how to do this, and it involves mods to your transmitter to build an array.
I had an idea to turn the DBC into a digtial decoder to make full use of the Benedini without having to modify your radio. I worked wiht David L the designer of the DBC to do this with tank control in mind. So turret sound , gun fire, etc are all tailored to tanks. The new BARC4 is the lastest version, and is as much a Benedini encoder as it is anything else. The BARC 4 gives you access to more sound address for direct control of the Benedini for turret sounds, cannon, MG, light switches etc. voices etc.
Without a decoder you are limited to what you can do with the TBS, but at a minimum it will supply great engine sounds and a couple of other sounds that you can play using a spare RC channel.
I will have an offical launch of the BARC4 and showcase it on my Cromwell build when it is finished.
My sales pitch has always been that if you want the best sound then the combination of the Benedini and the BARC line is the most cost effective solution to Tamiya compatible battle tanks

Thank you for the replies. I mainly just wanted turbine with correct speed sound, main gun, and coax. In my experience I never heard turret rotate or gun elevate from outside the tank.

Stevedoric, that sounds so smooth. I can't wait to start on this. Of course my wife is already fussing about the almost finished Leo and M51 that I have. She said my hobby area looks like my old motor pool at Ft Hood.

Does the DBC or BARC4 offer Gun Barrel Stabilization (GBS)?
With the M1A2 it is a critical function IMHO. If either of them do, then you can count me down as a sale ... Because I will be coming to you for a buy once my M1A2 comes in from IMEX.
