On my 26cc in order to keep the muffler from coming apart, I put a liberal coat of silicon seal between the parts and on both the bolt head and the nut.I have several flights and have no leakage from the muffler.
I tried safety wire on my muffler. It prevented it from falling off but the bolts still came loose enough to let the muffler leak
