Default RE: Elevator Servos for GP Pitts / Eagle

Using Futaba 9405's metal geared with 80 oz. torque. 0.14 speed in 4 ailerons, elevators and rudder. Used two channels for the elevators mixing Ch 2+7 Using 9202 for choke and S148 for throttle on a DA 50. Removed the throttle spring so the throttle moves very easily with zero resistance. The choke and throttle servo are on a servo tray behind the fuel tank and under the smoke system tray. Three servos in the tail. Using Med. sized Ohio Superstar tail wheel with a 440 rod and direct connection to the rudder servo. No pull pull.

Using a 1700 Mah Nicd for the servos, 1100 Mah Nicd for the electronic ignition and 1100 Mah Nicd for the smoke system (Simple Smoke). Also using a 'Battery Backer' for the servos and smoke as a back up with three battery switches. Using a heavy duty toggle kill switch from B&B. Mounting 24 oz. Dubros fuel tank and 24 oz. Dubros smoke tank. The smoke tank is behind the fuel tank on a smoke system tray slightly forward of the CG. The Simple Smoke system is mounted on the tray with the tank. Futaba PCM 8 channel RX mounted just forward of the cockpit.

Used this same set up on Pitts-I with a Fuju 50. The engine was much heavier and the CG worked out like I wanted it being just a bit nose heavy. On the Fuji I had the throttle mounted on the box. The servo tray with the added choke servo should help offset the weight of the lighter DA engine on Pitts-II.
