I think many folks have flown at places other than an AMA field, in fact I bet there are more people who have done that then fly at "ama/club" fields. I know I have..I don't think it's a big deal at all, some people aren't lucky enough to have a club field available. As long as they are flying safe and responsible, not sure what the issue would be.
