RE: Covering foam wings
You are supposed to use reinforced strapping tape on those wings to give it strength.
If you do cover it--after applying the tape---then you'd better use a very low heat covering. Foam melts pretty easily if you get greedy with the iron.
I used the tape and then I covered it with colored Zagi tape. It's about 2.5" wide. Start from the trailing edge and overlap the tape joints by about 1/4" as you work towards the LE.
Do the bottom first and leave the LE exposed. Then flip it over and do the top; again leaving the LE exposed. Your final piece of tape will be the one on the LE to cover the last seam on the top and bottom. If you bring the tape on the bottom and the top to within about 3/4" of the LE- then you can use one single piece of tape on the LE to wrap around and cover both the top and bottom tape.
The reason you do this is to keep the seams going with the airflow. It keeps the tape from pealing off.
