Default RE: VectorFlight 300s, anygood?

Hey guys, I put my second flight on my 300s today !!!

I went down to the logging dry land again today for my second flight, I had a few problems to start, my adjustment extension for my mixture backed off and came out...lucky I had already adjusted my mixture.

After warming the engine up for a 1/4 of a tank and taxiing around, I toped up the fuel and fired her back up.

I went back down to the top end of the dry land...knelt down, put my hand flat on the starboard wing and said " Ok lady, don't deal me anything I can't handle..." then held the tail ran up the throttle to clear the carb and throttled back...

I then tested all my control surfaces and powered up for takeoff, I had reduced the elevator throw since my last flight and didn't really know how much I was going to need for take off....so as she screamed down the runway I banged the stick back and she jumped off the ground pretty much vertical !!! I leveled her out and did a few circuits everything ran great...only running her at half throttle I'm still trying to get used to her compared to my Kadet LT 40...she's a lot more of a handful !!!.

I did some low passes for my friends...the one young guy I fly with, he's waiting for his Sukhoi said "Wow Dude....scary fast !!!"...

I felt ready to try a loop...I know loops are no big deal but not knowing how the mixture and bubbles in the fuel line were, I tried a nice slow loop....as soon as she got upside down the engine started to spudder so I turned her back over...
I throttled up and cleared the lines...everything was back to normal...

I then flew some nice tight turns within the 100 yards of the dry land to see if I could slow her down without tip stalling, everything went fine...

I then did a few line ups for landing and on the third pass slowed her right down and set her down ever so gently to a perfect stop....(Hands still shaking)

I was going to put on another flight but without being able to adjust the mixture without taking the cowl off I decided not to and call it a day....I was happy with the flight !!!

Good Flights to all...

Sam
