I was replying to TheBennyB who wrote, "As far as the tx/rx combo they are only for the Japan market."

I did not write or I do think I wrote you could buy a Tamiya Japan Market Kit with the radio in the states. LOL.

I wrote or meant to write, I had bought a first kit from the AAF Museum sans radio and used the silver case Futaba 2.4 system which I purchased at Tower Hobbies in the USA.

A year later I bought a second JS-2 kit, but from Banzai Hobbies in Japan, which included a Tamiya Branded rc 2.4 radio system.

The point is:

The Japan Tamiya 2.4 black case transmitter is mostly the same transmitter, as the USA silver case Futaba 2.4 transmitter.

The differences:

The silver case Futaba transmitter does NOT have a self centering left stick and the Tamiya-Futaba black transmitter DOES, other wise they are the same transmitter.

The Tamiya Japan branded 2.4 receiver is identical to the USA Futaba 2.4 reciever
.

Hope that helps TheBennyB and enjoy your JS-2 build.

Looking forward to following your efforts and did not mean by any stretch to divert the topic.

Build on, John
