RE: Overpowering the UCD .46
I went with 4-40 pushrods on all the surfaces. The elevator servos seemed to be too far from the surfaces to use the 2-56 ones supplied. I was afraid they's flex too much. I also went with pull pull on the rudder, just to get some weight out of the tail. When I put everything in the plane, I realized I'd be tail-heavy with all servos back in the tail, so moving the 2oz rudder servo up helped. It was just a personal preference, but I also used the post type control horns because they provide a lot more adjustment that the regular horns. Oh, and I used the Radio South CA hinges. I've used them for years and never had a problem. They're stiffer than the supplies ones, but they hold.
For first flights, the battery is under the tank. I may move it back later if needed. Right now, the plan is for a two line tank system, and as soon as I find that Dubro fuel valve I have laying around somewhere, it's going in there, too. I'll try to post some pics tonight of my installation, if you want.
