Dave, it is not a problem. The fenders on the Trumpeter kit are separate parts and have really nice detail. I am sure they could be attached to the Tamiya upper hull, but I am not sure how strong they would be if this were to be a battling tank at Danville? I have attached photos of the instruction pages dealing with the fenders to give you an idea of what I am talking about. I will measure them tonight when I get home from work. I just happened to have the instructions with me.

Jeff you are right about Tamiya falling together as building the Trumpeter Panzer IV will take some work. Although the way they broke the build down it will be in modules like mini models within the whole model as a Static kit.
