Default RE: fixing broken wing spars (actually ribs)

that wing is gonna break again if it did it once under flying loads/ landing loads i say rebuild it the right way. i ahte arf's (c my sig) that wing is splinters what you do to it?? land on the wings?[sm=confused.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=eek.gif][sm=cool.gif][sm=tongue.gif][sm=wink.gif][sm=RAINFRO.gif] id rebuild it and maybe fully sheer the wing and fully sheet (since the lt 40 is a floater ne way this should help that problem too ) ill post pics of my mark II wing to show what im talking about. the extra sheeting takes a lot of load off the ribs... also lets not harp on the rib spar mix up shal we?? i think you already made the error clear to everyone. live and learn. not to bash on arf's (well maybe it is) but my tiger trainer i had ages ago had a similar crush problem after i shiped it somewhere. (you may ask how i fixed it, i didnt its still in my basement as a last resort for needed parts [>:] although you gotta love the solid play construction... sigh that plane weighs a ton and a half.

I closed a garage door on my mustang, knocked it on the floor from my 4' high work bench and it had less damage than that![sm=biggrin.gif]
